As usual, there are numerous different versions - try the Rum Swizzle for a simpler cocktail. If possible, use freshly squeezed juices and you will notice the difference!

  • 45mL Dark Rum
  • 45mL Gold Rum
  • 60mL Pineapple Juice
  • 60ml Orange Juice
  • 60mL Falernum or 20mL Grenadine
  • 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

  1. Fill a hi-ball or pilsner glass with crushed ice
  2. Add the ingredients
  3. Use a barspoon (or swizzle stick!) to thoroughly mix, frosting the glass

Falernum is a sweet syrup used in Caribbean and tropical drinks. It can be made using almonds, ginger, cloves, limes, vanilla, allspice, star anise, etc.

Use falernum rather than grenadine if you want an authentic swizzle!
