How to make an Applejack Rabbit

The term 'applejack' is derived from the word 'jacking' which is a term for freeze distillation whilst Laird's Applejack is a blend of apple brandy and neutral grain spirit. This cocktail comes from the New York cocktail bar, PDT (Please Don't Tell) and is also featured in Jim Meehan's book found below. Ingredients
 

  • 60 mL Laird's Applejack
  • 22.5 mL Lemon Juice
  • 22.5 mL Fresh Orange Juice
  • 15 mL Maple Syrup

Instructions
 

  • Fill a Boston glass with ice
  • Add all the ingredients
  • Shake and double strain into a chilled coupe
