Blue Hawaiian Cocktail Recipe
The Blue Hawaiian is a variation on the Blue Hawaii but I’d argue that it more closely resembles a Pina Colada than a Blue Hawaii. According to Simon Difford, it was PROBABLY created by Don the Beachcomber in Los Angeles.
This drink can be served frozen or on the rocks - I prefer to serve it on crushed ice as I’m not a big fan of frozen drinks.
Ingredients
- 45 mL White Rum 1.5 oz
- 22.5 mL Blue Curacao 0.75 oz
- 22.5 mL Cream of Coconut 0.75 oz
- 60 mL Pineapple Juice 1.5 oz
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker
- Shake with ice
- Strain into a cocktail glass with crushed ice
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge, cherry and umbrella
