
Boston Sour
The original Whiskey Sour (without egg white) was created around 1858 and has been one of the most popular cocktails for over 150 years. Bartenders often add egg white for added texture which is technically known as a Boston Sour.
Ingredients
- 60 ml bourbon whiskey
- 22.5 ml lemon juice
- 22.5 ml simple syrup
- 15 ml egg white
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, add the ingredients
- Dry shake (without ice) for 8-10 seconds
- Wet shake (with ice) for 10-12 seconds
- Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
- Garnish with 3 drops of aromatic bitters
