How to make a Caipirinha
Made with Brazil’s most popular spirit, Cachaça; this one isn’t for the faint hearted. The Brazilian spirit is made from fermented sugarcane juice and is also known as Brazilian Rum. The Caipirinha is Brazil's national drink.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Cachaça Germana Cachaça
- Lime
- 2 tsp Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Cut a lime into eighths and place in Boston glass
- Add the sugar
- Muddle
- Shake & pour into an old fashioned glass
Notes
There are many different methods and recipes for most cocktails; likewise for the the Caipirinha. Some recipes call for brown sugar, palm sugar or other sugar substitutes - it comes down to personal preference. You can also choose to stir or shake, personally I shake my Caipirinhas.
