Calpi Colada

The Calpi Colada is inspired by the Japanese ingredient Calpis which is a sweet and tangy yoghurt drink, produced by a natural process with lactobacilli, yeast and fermentation. It replaces the typical cream of coconut from a classic style colada drink.
It's paired with Chiyomusubi rice vodka and butterfly pea infused Junmai Ginjo sake by Nawatoki which produces a beautiful blue hue.

Ingredients
 

  • 30 ml blue sake (Nawatoki Seilan)
  • 22.5 ml Japanese rice vodka (Chiyomusubi)
  • 22.5 ml Calpico (Japanese yoghurt drink)
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 7.5 ml simple syrup

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker, add all ingredients
  • Shake with ice for 10-12 seconds
  • Strain into a glass over pebble ice
  • Garnish with a mint sprig
