Cantaritos Cocktail Recipe
The Cantaritos is a commonly made drink made in bars and road side stalls in Jalisco, Mexico. The clay pot it is served within is often used as a disposable take away cup. It does contain three acidic/citrus ingredients so I would recommend trying it with a touch of agave for balance.
Features many similarities to that of a Paloma cocktail.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Reposado Tequila 2 oz
- 60 mL Orange Juice 2 oz
- 30 mL Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice 1 oz
- 22.5 mL Fresh Lime Juice ¾ oz
- Dash of Grapefruit Soda
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients except the grapefruit soda into your cocktail shaker
- Briefly shake with ice
- Dump contents into a clay mug or high ball glass
- Garnish with a lime and grapefruit wedge
