
Coffee Cocktail Cocktail Recipe
The Coffee Cocktail can be found in Jerry Thomas' infamous Bartender's Manual. It's rich and fruity on the nose with plenty of spice from the freshly grated nutmeg. It tastes somewhat chocolaty with a velvety mouthfeel.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Tawny Port 2 oz
- 30 mL Cognac / Brandy 1 oz
- 15 mL Simple Syrup ½ oz
- Whole Egg
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients into your cocktail shaker
- Dry shake (without ice) to emulsify the egg
- Wet shake (with ice)
- Strain into a chilled, stemmed cocktail glass
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
