
Earl Grey MarTEAni
The Earl Grey MarTEAni is a simple and unique variation on a classic gin sour. Originally created in the early 2000s by Audrey Saunders of New York's well respected Pegu Club. The Earl Grey tea adds notes of bergamot and soft tannins that compliment the dry gin's botanicals. Audrey prefers to use Tanqueray.The Early Grey component is a simple infusion of tea and gin.
Ingredients
- 45 ml Earl Grey Tea-infused Gin Originally Tanqueray
- 30 ml Simple Syrup
- 22.5 ml Lemon Juice
- 1 Egg White
Earl Grey Tea-infused Gin
- 2 tbsp Earl Grey Tea
- 375 ml Gin
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker
- Dry shake (without ice)
- Wet shake (with ice)
- Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass
- Garnish with a twist of lemon
Earl Grey Tea-infused Gin
- Macerate Earl Grey Tea for 2-4 hours
- Strain out tea and bottle
