Elder Fashioned (Diffords)
There are two popular recipes for the Elder Fashioned each calling for alternate base spirits. Phil Ward of Death & Co, New York City created his Elder-Fashioned with Plymouth gin in 2007 and Simon Difford used bourbon whiskey whilst at The Cabinet Room in London the year prior. Both recipes were published shortly after St-Germain first released their elderflower liqueur. The touch of St-Germain adds a subtle floral note to a classic old fashioned.

- 1 dash Orange Bitters

August 16, 2022 at 12:42 pmI added 2 more shakes of orange bitters to help punch up the flavor. I suggest using a good whiskey since that’s the dominant flavor.
