
Haystack Cocktail Recipe
The Haystack is a creation of a London bartender from 2017. He states that it's a "yellow version of Sam Ross' Paper Plane". I would say that he has drawn inspiration from the Paper Plane but I wouldn't refer to it as a variation as the flavour profile differs significantly.Woody, herbal, bitter tones from the Suze (Gentian liqueur), sweet stone fruit courtesy of the Apricot Brandy Liqueur and a touch of sour from the fresh lemon juice.
Ingredients
- 30 ml Bourbon Whiskey
- 30 ml Suze Gentian Liquer
- 15 ml Apricot Brandy Liqueur
- 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients to your cocktail shaker
- Shake with ice
- Strain into a chilled, stemmed cocktail glass
- Garnish with a twist of lemon
