How to make a John Collins
One of my favourites! The John Collins is a super easy long drink that requires minimal equipment - a drinking vessel and a bar spoon for mixing.
Ingredients
- 45 mL London Dry Gin
- 30 mL Lemon Juice
- 15 mL Sugar Syrup
- 60 mL Soda
Instructions
- Fill a hi-ball glass with ice
- Add gin, lemon juice & sugar syrup
- Top with a dash of soda
- Stir
- Garnish with a slice or twist of lemon
Notes
There is much debate in relation to the original spirit used for a collins but I suggest using the following spirits: London Dry Gin for a John Collins and Old Tom Gin for a Tom Collins.
