
Irish Maid
Jack McGarry at The Dead Rabbit in New York City created a subtle variation on Sam Ross' modern classic cocktail, the Kentucky Maid. Jack's Irish Maid substitutes Irish Whiskey in place of bourbon and omits the mint from the recipe.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Irish Whiskey
- 15 ml St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 22.5 ml Lemon Juice
- 22.5 ml Simple Syrup
- 3 slices Cucumber
Instructions
- Muddle the cucumber in the base of your cocktail shaker
- Add the remaining ingredients
- Shake with ice for 12-15 seconds
- Strain over fresh ice into a double old fashioned glass
- Garnish with a cucumber fan
