Italian Mojito Cocktail Recipe

The Italian Mojito is named after the origin of the main ingredient, the Cocchi Americano aperitif. A less citrusy, less tart, sweeter variant of the classic Mojito that exhibits a very subtle bitter note from the Italian aperitif.

Ingredients
 

  • 75 mL Cocchi Americano 2½ oz
  • 30 mL Fresh Lime Juice 1 oz
  • 15 mL Simple Syrup ½ oz
  • Dash of Soda / Seltzer Water
  • 6-10 Mint Leaves

Instructions
 

  • Add the mint leaves to your high ball glass
  • Gently press/muddle the mint leaves in the glass
  • Add the ingredients excluding the soda water
  • Add cubed ice and stir
  • Top with crushed ice before finishing with a dash of soda water
  • Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint
