
Lion's Tale Cocktail Recipe
The Lion's Tail was first published in London in 1937 in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book. A tiki-esque Whiskey Sour with lime instead of lemon juice. The addition of Allspice Dram brings warming spice notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, creating a winter-friendly Whiskey Sour.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Bourbon Whiskey 2 oz
- 15 ml Allspice Dram 0.5 oz
- 15 ml Lime Juice 0.5 oz
- 7.5 ml Simple Syrup 0.25 oz
- 2 Dashes of Angostura bitters
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker
- Shake with ice
- Strain into a chilled coupe
