Smoky Raspberry Paloma
Typically a Paloma calls for tequila but I've added another dimension by reaching for a bottle of Mezcal instead. A touch of raspberry liqueur helps counter the intense smoky flavour. If you prefer, you can make your own grapefruit soda by combining fresh ruby red grapefruit juice, soda and a touch of agave but I opted for the easier way, bottled grapefruit soda.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Mezcal 2 oz
- 15 mL Raspberry Liqueur 0.5 oz
- 15 mL Fresh Lime Juice 0.5 oz
- 7.5 mL Agave Syrup 0.25 oz
- Grapefruit Soda
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the grapefruit soda into your cocktail shaker
- Shake with ice for approx. 12-15 seconds
- Strain over fresh ice into a high ball
- Top with grapefruit soda
- Garnish with a ruby red grapefruit wheel
