Mezcaletti Cocktail Recipe

The Mezcaletti combines mezcal and Meletti for a smokey, bitter, citrusy and chocolate-y sipper. As the drink continues to dilute the chocolate notes from the Meletti become more apparent. I'm a big fan of using this 50/50 split of spirit and amaro as a cocktail template to create my own unique drinks too.
Industry veteran Richard Boccato created the Mezcaletti while at Fresh Kills Bar in NY. Richard started as the doorman of Sasha Petraske’s bar Little Branch before eventually moving behind the bar. Petraske was so impressed with his work that he brought him over to the Milk & Honey team.
In 2009 Richard opened Dutch Kills with Sasha Petraske and in 2010 opened Painkiller with Giuseppe Gonzalez. He still owns several bars including Dutch Kills, Fresh Kills Bar, Bar Clacson and The Slipper Clutch.
