Dan Sabo created the Milano-Torino Sour as a clever spin off of the classic Milano-Torino (Campari & sweet vermouth). Sabo changed the classic it into a sour format but substituted a dry vermouth in place of sweet vermouth to maintain the drink’s balance and added both lime and grapefruit juice to amplify the bitter flavour profile of the Campari. Egg whites add texture to the drink and orange bitters bring it all together.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients
- Dry shake for 5 seconds to emulsify egg
- Then add ice and shake for 10-12 seconds
- Double strain into stemmed cocktail glass
