Peychaud’s Paloma Cocktail Recipe

Peychaud's Bitters has a sweet, cherry, clove and nutmeg flavour that can easily overtake a drink in high measurements.The Peychaud's Paloma (in these ratios) is a little overpowering. Whilst it looks stunning visually, I would advise lowering the Peychaud's by 15mL (half an ounce).

Ingredients
 

  • 30 mL Tequila 1 oz
  • 60 mL Grapefruit Juice 2 oz
  • 15 mL Simple Syrup ½ oz
  • 60 mL Soda / Seltzer 2 oz
  • 45 mL Peychaud's Bitters 1½ oz

Instructions
 

  • Combine the tequila, fresh grapefruit juice and simple syrup to your cocktail shaker
  • Shake with ice
  • Pour the soda / seltzer into your high ball glass with ice
  • Strain the cocktail into your glass
  • Float the Peychaud's Bitters on top
  • Garnish with a grapefruit slice or twist
