Queen Elizabeth Cocktail Recipe

The liquor brand Benedictine held a nationwide contest in the US back in the mid 1930s. The Queen Elizabeth won the contest and the recipe was then printed in magazines. The cocktail is not actually named after the Queen but the creator's wife.
The sweet and sour balances well with the addition of honeyed spices and the dryness from the vermouth.
