How to make a Southside cocktail

A classic gin-based sour recipe. Refreshingly balanced and with the addition of fresh mint. Apparently originating out of the Twenty-One Club in New York whilst a long version over crushed ice were being served during prohibition on the southside of Chicago

  • 60 mL Gin
  • 25 mL Fresh Lime Juice
  • 20 mL Sugar Syrup 1:1
  • 4-5 Mint Leaves


  • Fill a Boston glass with ice
  • Add Aviation gin, lime juice, sugar syrup and mint leaves
  • Shake and double strain into a chilled coupe glass
