Wine in can is super sustainable

Production and Recycling

Aluminium is the third most common element and have been recycled for as long as they have been produced
Nearly 75 percent of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today
Aluminium is 100% recyclable and experiences no loss of quality during recycling
Recycling aluminium uses only 5% of the energy used to create new aluminium

Transport

Around 20% of man made greenhouse gas emissions are generated by the transportation sector
One pallet of wine in cans moves 768L (256 cases of 12, 250ml cans) of wine
One pallet of wine in bottles moves 576L (64 cartons of 12, 750ml bottles)
Transport of canned wines is 33% more efficient

Wine in kegs is super sustainable

Packaging

A 50L keg is equivalent in volume to 66.6, 750ml bottles
Pouring wine from a stainless steel keg, at a velocity of 1 stainless steel keg a month, will save 23,000 bottles from landfill over the course of a stainless steel kegs 30 year lifespan
Stainless steel kegs do not require labels, caps, corks or cases for transport
97%+ of the wine in a keg will be dispensed, minimising wine wastage caused by open bottles and oxidisation (also increases gross profits!)
