Around 2010 she created the Tia Mia and committed a full ounce of mezcal in place of the Martinique rum that is found in one of Trader Vic’s Mai Tai iterations.Tia Mia is Spanish for “my aunt” and was a fond nickname Ivy gave to one of her regulars.
