How to make a Toblerone cocktail

I’ve always thought that you really need to be in the mood to drink creamy cocktails but the Toblerone cocktail is a favourite amongst everyone. The honey is difficult to work with as it solidifies as soon as it hits the ice - I prefer to coat the martini glass with the honey instead of mixing it within the cocktail. Most people tend to blend their Toblerone’s but try shaking them for a more intense flavour without the dilution from the blended ice.

Ingredients

  • 30 mL Frangelico
  • 30 mL Kahlua
  • 30 mL Baileys
  • 60 mL Cream
  • Honey

Instructions

  • Drop a dob of honey in the bottom of a martini glass and, using a teaspoon, pull the honey up the side of the glass
  • Fill a boston glass with ice
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the boston glass
  • Shake vigorously before straining onto the honey-lined martini glass.

Notes

Shake your Toblerone’s for a stronger flavour!

Yep – it’s sounding like a bit of me for our mid-year p&o cruise.

There is always many different ways to make a cocktail. I’ve seen versions that have different ingredients including white creme de cacao, rum, amaretto, egg, etc.

What’s your method and what makes it the correct way?

What would be a good mixture to make the honey syrup, how much water to how much honey? Also what chocolate syrup would be best to use?
    Thanks Steve.

Equal parts (1:1 / honey:water) for the honey syrup will be fine and make it easier to mix into the drink. Any chocolate syrup that you can find will work a treat! =)
