Top 10 Hen’s Night Ideas

Top 10 Hens Night Ideas

Been given the task of planning your girlfriends Hen’s Night? Here’s a list of the top suggestions to help you organise a memorable day for your friend. Get super organised and knock out a few of these top 10 Hen’s Night ideas!

1. Champagne Breakfast

Champagne Breakfast

People often make plans well in advance so the brekky option is especially good on short notice as most people will be available. Keep it casual and pick your favourite cafe for a relaxed beginning to the day or pick a venue such as Saldechin on King William Rd in the Adelaide CBD to host your morning spread. Keep in mind it is breakfast and it could be a long day ahead so go easy on the champagnes!

If you have a strict budget to stick to or fancy yourself as a bit of a chef then why not host it at someone’s home? Crepes, french toast or bacon (or chorizo!) and eggs are all easy options to cater for guests. Set up a mimosa bar to kick start everyone’s day but make sure you remember to have a few non-alcoholic drinks for those who don’t or can’t drink.

2. Cocktail Bartender

Cocktail Bartender

It’s becoming more and more popular to entertain at home for Hen’s Nights. Get a professional cocktail bartender to cater for the night. Everything can be taken care of for you; from the cocktail menu to the late night clean up!  Find someone that is highly experienced in making cocktails to make sure you have a smooth night and that all the guests will love every cocktail. Do something a little different and drink from dainty little milk bottles (as pictured) or quirky jam jars. 3. Wine Tour

Wine Tour

As long as you don’t mind paying for a bus, you can book a full day venturing from winery to winery. Adelaide has numerous wine regions close by: Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa, etc. These three wine regions are all close enough to get 4-5 wineries under your belt before having to call it a day. Make sure to book somewhere for lunch and take advantage of the region’s local produce. Check  out some of South Australia’s Best Wineries.

4. Pole Dancing

5. Ladies Pub Golf

The ladies pub golf is pretty much a more acceptable daytime pub crawl 🙂 you will need to pick a ‘course’ (9 or 18 local bars), print some scorecards, find your uniforms and you are good to go. Check out the pub golf rules.

6. Spa Day

7. Hotel Getaway

Hotel Stay

Stay in a hotel room for the night, preferably somewhere close to a few venues so you can have a few drinks and dinner before ‘retiring’ to the room. A hotel will be suitable for smaller numbers. A few bottles of champagne and a cheese platter will be enough to keep everyone happy upon returning to the room. Look at staying in the heart of the city, somewhere such as the Hotel Richmond which also has a bar and restaurant with amazing desserts!

8. Hire a Limousine

Hire a Limousine

Perfect way to start an evening off. An hour long cruise with a few champagnes will kick start the night and get everyone in the partying mood! There are several companies in Adelaide that specialise in premium Hummer Limo services and Hen’s Night Packages.

Check out HummerSA for their available packages.

9. Theme Night

Theme Night

A theme can be incorporated into any Hen’s Night plans. Pick a theme and make sure that everyone gets involved! Masquerade, Hawaiian, Burlesque, Polka Dot, Toga, Bunnies – just to mention a few!

10. Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt (complete with clues and a treasure map) doesn’t have to be a childish event! The prizes can be as grown-up or risque as you like; prizes such as bottle of bubbles, massage vouchers, etc. Use someone’s house and put a few heads together to get creative!
