Watermelon Cucumber Cooler

Salt is an ingredient often used to accentuate flavours within drinks. The wasabi salt in this cocktail enhances the juicy watermelon flavour whilst adding a touch of heat.

  • 60 ml gin
  • 22.5 ml lemon/lime juice
  • 22.5 ml cane syrup (2:1)
  • 1 pinch wasabi salt
  • 30 ml watermelon juice


  • In a shaker, muddle the cucumber and cane syrup
  • Add the gin and lemon/lime juice
  • Shake for 10-12 seconds
  • Double strain over fresh ice into a high ball glass
  • Add the watermelon juice
  • Gently stir and garnish with a slice of cucumber
