Spring in Your Pants Gin Slushy Recipe

A boozy gin slushy to welcome in the first day of Spring! Made with a citrusy gin such as Threefold Aromatic Gin, Aperol, citrus and honey. I compared two versions - with and without mint added to the blender - without mint let the other ingredients play rather than get overwhelmed with the vegetal, minty notes. It's a light, easy to drink gin slushy perfect for Spring - feel free to go a little heavier on the Aperol!

Ingredients

45 ml Gin 1.5 oz
15 ml Aperol 0.5 oz
22.5 ml Lemon Juice 0.75 oz
22.5 ml 1:1 Honey Syrup 0.75 oz
2 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters
Optional: 10 Mint Leaves

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients except the bitters into a blender
Blend with ice until smooth
Pour into a double old fashioned glass
Garnish with a sprig of mint or slice of citrus
