
Yellow Smash Cocktail Recipe
The Yellow Smash was created in Munich by Klaus St. Rainer of the “Goldene Bar”. It is a typical smash cocktail - a sour made with fresh herbs to impart more flavour, depth, colour and aroma.The smash style of cocktails are derived from the julep family. The first mention of a smash cocktail was by Harry Johnson back in 1888.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Yellow Chartreuse 2 oz
- 5 mL Orange Curacao 1 Barspoon
- 30 mL Fresh Lime Juice 1 oz
- 5 mL Simple Syrup 1 Barspoon
- 10 Mint Leaves
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker
- Shake with ice
- Strain into a double old fashioned glass
- Garnish with a sprig of mint
