
Yesterday, Today and Amaro
A complex bittersweet and spicy rye whiskey cocktail featured in Brad Thomas Parson's book, Amaro. The sweetness from two amaro's and a herbal liqueur help tame the spicy rye.
Ingredients
- 60 mL Rye Whiskey 2 oz
- 15 mL Cynar ½ oz
- 7.5 mL Averna Amaro ¼ oz
- 7.5 mL Dom Benedictine ¼ oz
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into your mixing glass
- Stir with ice for 30-40 seconds
- Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass
- Garnish with a lemon twist (optional)
